Risr ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Risr platform at tryrisr.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

  • Platform data (Instagram & TikTok): publicly available profile information, post metrics, and engagement data that you authorize us to access, or that is publicly available on these platforms.
  • Content & style data: the answers you provide to our style questions and the content you create or edit on the platform, used to build your personalized voice profile.
  • Usage data: how you interact with our platform, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and analytics purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract— to provide the service you signed up for (account, analytics, AI content generation).
  • Legitimate interests— to operate, secure, and improve the platform, and to provide competitor and benchmarking features based on publicly available data (see Section 6).
  • Consent— for non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where required.
  • Legal obligation— where we must process data to comply with the law.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our analytics and content services.
  • Generate AI-powered insights, content suggestions, scripts, and growth recommendations.
  • Build and refine your personalized voice and content profile.

5. AI Processing

A core part of Risr is AI-powered content generation. To provide this, your content, style answers, and profile data are sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI and/or Anthropic) for processing. These providers process the data on our behalf to generate outputs and do not use your content to train their models where covered by their business/enterprise terms. We only send the data necessary to deliver the requested feature.

6. Competitor & Benchmarking Data

Some features allow you to analyze publicly available data from other Instagram or TikTok accounts (for example, competitor reports). We process only data that is publicly displayed on these platforms, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing benchmarking and analytics features. 7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the platform, under appropriate data protection agreements. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.

Some of our sub-processors (including AI providers and hosting providers) are located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
